Pumpkin Seeds from a Frozen Pumkin

How to Extract Pumpkin Seeds from a Frozen Pumpkin:

(yes, I actually did this)

Step 1: Using a hack saw cut a deep groove all the way around the pumpkin.

Step 2: Ignoring the strange looks you may get from your neighbors take a hammer and pound

the top of a crowbar into the groove. Continue this until you have a deep cut all the way around the pumpkin. You may want to wear ear plugs because sound carries very well on a silent winter night.

Step 3: With your feet hold the pumpkin in place while you pry the pumpkin apart with the crow bar.

Step 4: Take the pumpkin inside. With a large spoon spoon as many seeds out as you can with it. Then using your hands collect the rest. You will need to stop frequently the thaw out your hands. By this point your hands will feel as frozen as the pumpkin.

Step 5: Prepare seeds as you normally would during Halloween.

This is what happens when you are in denial of the weather changing. It changed and I wasn't prepared. Jer kept asking me to get the seeds out so we could roast them. I finally did it. The seeds still turned out good, although they do look a little funny.
