Daniel turned one. for his first birthday he decided he would give himself a present...the gift of mobility, he started crawling.
We had a fun little birthday party in the back yard. We ate monkey tails (hot dogs and sausages), bananas, and chips. Then we had monkey cupcakes and cheesecake chocolate chip bar cookies (thanks Kate for the monkey cupcake idea and Alissa for the bar cookie recipe). We blew up a few balloons and let the kids play. Thanks for the presents.
We went to a Fever arena football game. We missed the kickoff because traffic was bad due to the storm. We had a good storm (for here). Lots of rain, thunder, lightning, and strong winds. It was my kind of storm! Lots of people were pulling off the road and driving with their flashers on. The kids were amazed by the lightning and rain. It washed out a few roads and caused some flooding. I guess that's what happens when you get 1/3 of your average annual rain fall in one day. 
Daniel got a car for his birthday. He doesn't like anyone else to play with it without him. They can play with him with it. Tim is Mr. Fix it so he thinks it's pretty cool.
